Pageant photography in Las Vegas: headshots, editorials, and content for a title year

Your title is more than a sash. Give it a visual world. Pageant photography isn't one photo — it's the headshot on the program, the editorial that carries your platform, the sponsor post, the arrival video, and the finals-week story.

This guide covers each of those, how to prepare, and how a session with me works. If you already know what you need, the content days and inquiry are on the pageant page.

What a title year needs

The five kinds of pageant photos, and what each is for

The pageant headshot

The one the organization prints and the judges see first. Clean, current, polished, and unmistakably you — hair and makeup done, jewellery considered, a real smile and a composed one.

The editorial

The imagery that carries your platform and your social presence: gown portraits, a concept that says something about who you are, campaign-style frames for announcements and sponsor moments.

Swimsuit and fitness

Light and direction built to show line, condition, and confidence — the frames that hold up on stage and on the feed.

Arrival photos and videos

The walk in, the sash, the entrance — stills and vertical clips from the moments before the moment, ready to post the same day.

The content

Vertical clips, candid pageant-week coverage, appearance recaps — the material that keeps a title year publishing. A title year is a publishing schedule.

The experience

A polished process. A relaxed set.

01

Plan the story

Goals, audience, wardrobe, locations, sponsor obligations, and must-have moments become a practical shot plan. We do this in a consultation — by phone call, text, or email, usually within a few days of your inquiry. Bring your pageant dates and any organization requirements.

02

Create with direction

Posing, movement, and on-camera coaching keep every frame intentional while the set stays easy. You see the photos as we go — every frame is proofed instantly on set — so you're never guessing whether the walk, the turn, or the smile is landing.

03

Launch the content

A cohesive gallery and social assets arrive ready for announcements, appearances, and the next chapter. You receive a private gallery link to proof from home, choose the images you want retouched, and I retouch them by hand with skin that still reads as skin.

Preparation

How to prepare for pageant photos

Hair and makeup

For pageant headshots, professional hair and makeup is required — this is the one session where camera-ready means the full look. For editorials and content days it's strongly recommended. I can recommend artists on request, and vendor timing can be built into the shoot plan.

Wardrobe

Bring the gown (or two), the interview look, swimsuit or fitness wear if it's part of your competition, and one personal-brand outfit. Solid colours and structure photograph best; the sash and crown come with you if you have them. Steam everything.

Jewellery and details

Earrings that catch light, a bracelet, nails done — details show at headshot distance.

The week before

Sleep, water, and nothing new — no fresh haircuts, treatments, or products you haven't tried.

Timing

Four to eight weeks is ideal around major pageant dates. Limited rush sessions may be available.

Bring anything — or anyone — that will make you feel comfortable. A pageant sister or your director on set is welcome. The goal is to represent you in the best and most natural way possible.

They are not included in the base experience, but trusted referrals and vendor timing can be coordinated into the shoot plan. For pageant headshots, professional hair and makeup is required.

Can the deliverables be customized?

Yes. Still-image and short-form video quantities can be adjusted around sponsors, appearances, pageant dates, and your content calendar.

How far in advance should I book?
