Professional headshots in Las Vegas: what to wear, what it costs, and how the session works
Your image speaks before you do. A headshot is the one photograph that works in every room you're not in — the profile a recruiter opens, the speaker page, the press kit, the pitch deck.
This guide covers how to prepare, what happens in the session, and what it costs, so you can book with nothing left to guess. Just want to book? Sessions and pricing are on the headshots page.
What a headshot decides
Most shortlists are settled on sight.
A strong headshot is not simply a record of your face. It is a precise expression of how you want to be met — credible, recognizable, and ready for the opportunity in front of you. A good one does four things:
- 01Credibility
A considered portrait communicates preparation and authority before anyone reads your title.
- 02Recognition
One consistent frame across your profiles, press, and speaker materials turns a name into a brand.
- 03Opportunity
Recruiters, clients, bookers, and editors narrow the field visually. Your image should keep you in the room.
- 04Confidence
When you like the way you are represented, you use the photograph everywhere it can work for you.
In practice that means clean light, an honest expression, a background that doesn't compete, and retouching you can't see.

Actors, musicians, presenters: a current headshot that casting and bookers can trust.
Teams and personal brands
Consistent frames across a whole company, or one image that anchors your own brand.
Real estate, legal, medical, and finance
Where the headshot is the first handshake — credible, warm, and current.

Preparation
What to wear for headshots
Bring two or three solid, structured options in tones that support your complexion and intended use. Detailed wardrobe guidance arrives before the session; these are the principles behind it.
Solid over pattern
Solids read as intentional; small patterns shimmer on camera. Large logos pull the eye away from your face.
Structure over soft
A blazer, a structured top, a collared shirt — anything with a shoulder gives the frame a shape.
Colour with purpose
Jewel tones and deep neutrals flatter most complexions and hold up against a studio backdrop.
Fit
If it's tight, loose, or wrinkled, it shows at headshot distance. Steam everything.
Grooming
Hair as you'd wear it to the meeting that matters; a trim a week out, not the day before. Light, matte makeup photographs best, and I can recommend hair and makeup artists on request.
Glasses
Bring them if you wear them — we'll shoot both.
Bring anything — or anyone — that will make you feel comfortable. The goal is to represent you in the best and most natural way possible.
The experience
The session, refined.
Prepare
Wardrobe guidance and a visual direction arrive before the session so nothing important is decided in a hurry. A quick consultation — by phone call, text, or email — settles the use, the look, and the backdrop.
Create
Studio light, expression coaching, and clear posing direction shape every frame. You see the photos as we go — every frame proofed instantly — so we adjust expression, angle, and crop together. Nobody is expected to know how to pose. That's my half of the job.
Polish
Distractions disappear; the person remains. Skin still reads as skin and the finish stays believable. You choose your favourites from the proofing gallery; those get retouched. Unretouched proofs are available as an add-on.
Deliver
Final files arrive in a private gallery, prepared for web, profile, press, and print — high-resolution and social-ready sizes.

Good to know
Questions, answered.
What should I wear?
Bring two or three solid, structured options in tones that support your complexion and intended use. Detailed wardrobe guidance is included before the session.
Can you photograph our whole team?
Yes. Studio and on-location team days are scheduled around headcount, final-image needs, and the pace of your office.
Will you help me pose?
Completely. Expression, posture, hand placement, and small adjustments are directed throughout the session.
How are the images delivered?
You receive a private proofing gallery and final high-resolution files prepared for professional and social use.
How long does a headshot session take?
30 minutes for The Essential, 45 for The Signature. Plan on arriving ten minutes early to settle in.
How many outfits should I bring?
Two or three. We'll pick together on set — what works on camera isn't always what works in the mirror.
Do you retouch headshots?
Yes, on the images you select. Blemishes, stray hairs, and distractions go; skin texture and your actual face stay.
How often should I update my headshot?
Every one to two years, or whenever your look changes noticeably — a new haircut, glasses, a big change in fitness.
Can I use my headshot for LinkedIn, my website, and press?
Yes — your final files are prepared for professional and social use.
